D66, a Dutch centrist political party, emerged victorious in Wednesday’s general election, as reported by news agency ANP on Friday.
With nearly all the votes tallied, D66 has secured a lead that can no longer be challenged by Geert Wilders’ far-right Freedom Party.
ANP, responsible for aggregating election results from all Dutch municipalities, confirmed D66’s triumph in the national parliamentary vote.
