SEOUL, Oct. 30 (Yonhap) — Nvidia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang said Thursday that artificial intelligence (AI) technology is the most “impeccable technology of all time” and the company is set to release “great news” in terms of its partnership with South Korean firms this week.
“(AI) will impact every single industry,” Huang said during an event in southern Seoul marking the 25th anniversary of the launch of his company’s GeForce graphics processing unit.
“The future is really quite amazing with artificial intelligence for health care, transportation, manufacturing and just every single field of science,” he added.
Huang said the answer is “absolutely so” regarding the question of whether would Nvidia become a much larger business in the future.
He said he is honored that Nvidia is the first company in history to reach US$5 trillion in market capitalization.

His visit to the ceremony shortly followed a separate meeting with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung and Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong.
Huang said his visit to the country came at the invitation of President Lee Jae Myung, adding there will be an announcement on details of Nvidia’s partnership with South Korean companies.
“We have a lot of great news for Korea,” he said, without providing further details.
“I promised President Lee I was not going to tell the good news before he does, so I am saving it for him to announce,” he added. “The news will probably be related to AI, maybe robotics, and absolutely, 100 percent, related with Korea,” he added.
“Nvidia has been in South Korea for a very long time, with the GeForce in every PC bang,” he also said, referring to the South Korean term for internet cafes, expressing gratitude to local consumers.
Touching on the trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing, Huang said U.S. President Donald Trump is a “great negotiator” and maintains a good relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“I have every confidence they are going to do everything they can to make the best deal for their own countries,” he said.
